COUNTRY BUTTER MILK BISCUITS

2 cups sifted whole wheat flour

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp baking pwder

1 tsp baking soada

1/3 cup olive oil

1 cup grated cheese  (Swiss, sharp cheddar,or any other you like)

1 cup finely chopped onion or ham or green onions.

1 cup sour cream

Put 2 cups of sifted whole wheat flour in a bowl, add 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp baking soda.  Cut in 1/3 cup olive oil until it is like corn meal.  Add 1 cup finely chopped ham or onions, or green onions.  Add 1 cup grated cheese of your choice.  Mix well.  Add 1 cup sour cream and mix well.  Add about 1/4 cup butter milk or enough to make the mixture hold together.  Put onto a lightly flour bread board and knead gently.  roll dough about 1/2 inch thick and cut out the biscuts.  Put onto an ungreased cooky sheet.  Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.  Serve warm
