Picture from Landen

Yesterday the pictures that Landen took of his hike were such a success with all of you I decided to put a few more on today.  Some of these are from his hike and some are from hicks before.  He loves to go walking in the woods or fields and take interesting pictures.  He has such a good eye with the camera. Like this one from TN.

I might see this and think it was interesting but never know how to

capture it on my phone camera.  But more than likely I would never have seen it looking of the big picture and falling over the most beautiful things right under my feet.

This is any interesting one he took of this last hike.

Today Holly went into work early so she could get out early to come home and cook the Chicken Chili for tomorrow’s party but here it is 7:30 and she just called to say she is finally starting for home and it is an hour’s drive to get home.  I don’t know what she plans to do about tomorrow but I will try and help her do whatever she decides to do.  She is not one that will accept help from anyone but she just can’t do it all alone.

Laura arrived this late afternoon so she was here for supper.  I saved out one of the swordfish steaks for Holly and we all shared the other three and  everyone loved them and felt they had enough.  The air fried fries always makes the dinner enough and Landen and I cooked up a big batch of them.

Luke and I worked on school work all morning and then took an hour and a half off for lunch but Luke want to continue so lunch was only a half an hour before he wanted to get back to the stories.   He finished the book he was reading to me and I read another “Adventure under the Sea” story.  I sent Dyhana and Gina one of those “chose your own adventure books”.  Luke likes them so much I thought maybe they would like them too and I found a neat one for girls.  I have another one for boys coming tomorrow so we can try a different one here too.

Patty, thank you for the presents, they are under the tree.  I had to peek to see if it was something I had ordered and when I saw it was not I closed them right up and put them under the tree for Christmas morning.  Luke said he would wrap them for me.  Shanti and Tyaga sent me something also so I have that under the tree and Luke will wrap it up for me.

All for today so will end with another picture from Landen.  Have a great day.

About Carol (Ouma) Petts

I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.
