Great Day

I forgot to add some pictures of the area that Landen took.  The view out out kitchen window is very much like this.  I will try to get a picture of that tomorrow.  Had a great day today.  I could not sleep last night and it turned out Holly and Luke could not either.  We were all tired when we went to be but it must have been something in the air.  I stayed in bed and got a couple hours sleep at the beginning of the night and then fell asleep finally about 4am and slept until 5:30 and then got up and came down stairs to do a few things before getting dress.  I called Shirley and then Holly came down and we spent more than an hour talking to each other.  Joe was home too but he had work to do on the computer.  He worked almost all morning.  Holly did the washing and folded the clothes  and then she had to go into work as she had a couple meetings this morning and will stay at work all afternoon as they have quite a few people in for a week day.  Usually the week is slow and the week ends full!!  But today there are many there.

When Joe could take a break he helped me call Ameraprise and got that form I had to fill out done.  We filled it out the best we could before we called and found we had done it just right.  Now I have to send that 14 page paper and a long form death certificate and I think I am at last all done with the investments we have.  when the house in Florida closes I will then have to call and talk to my AAA agent and take care of the last insurance policies done.

Then Luke and I worked on penmanship.  He like most kids today could not write cursive and you couldn’t read his printing.  So we start working on the cursive and he liked it and took to it fast.  It will take a few days to get through both the upper case and lower case letters but I know it will be worth the effort.

After lunch Joe played some games with Luke.  That break did both of them good and I got a chance to just sit and try to work on my banking.   I finally gave up with my Mac as I could not get onto the online banking so Joe tried on his computer and I tried with my iPad.  We were both successful so I tried my Mac again and no luck so I know it is my Mac and not the bank.  Even Joe could not get on with my Mac.  So I went to Bank of America with the iPad  and did the banking I need to do.  I want to keep my credit score up high so we can get a good loan on a house when we move back to Florida and look for a house to buy.  I checked with the bank before I came out here to see if I could get a house with Joe and Holly from my bank with my credit score and his income and was told of course.  They would love that and so would we.

Now it is time to get supper and I will go back to not eating much at night and hope I sleep better tonight.  Have a great day

Here are a couple more Landen took when they went hiking last fall.  It is truly beautiful country here but I will like it much better when every thing comes back to life.

About Carol (Ouma) Petts

I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.
