Saturday when I posted I wanted to post a picture of my three girls then and now. I only remembered one picture of just the three girls together and that was taken in 1963 when we first moved into our newly built house in Peterborough. I spent most of the day looking for the picture and finally found it but it took so long to get the picture transferred to the i-pad so I could send it to my desk top I finally gave up and posted without it. The picture finally came through this morning so now I can show you both pictures.
This is the three girls in 1964.
Kathy, Patty, and Becky . Kathy was just going into 7th grade just 12, Patty was in the third grade just 8 and Shanti was going into the 5th grade and just 10. It was a hard move for Patty, changing schools, Shanti was always ready for an adventure so took the move to the new town and new school well. Kathy was going into Jr High so was going to a new school anyways so she didn’t mind. They had lived all their lives in the country where there were no neighbors to play with and then went to a development with kids all around them and many their own age. They all adjusted quickly and thought of themselves city kids even though Peterborough is not what you would call a city, but it was compared to East View. Now I feel better that I have my angels on the blog. Here they are today.
Now and just by accident they are in the same order- Kathy, Patty, and Becky(Shanti). Have a great day.

About Carol (Ouma) Petts
I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.
So glad to see the pictures of the girls!!! There sure is a family resemblance in all of them…..look like you Carol. Nice teeth, smiles all around, a happy bunch. I hope they are able to make it an annual meeting…..life is so short and they are smart to appreciate!!!!
Thanks for sharing your pictures and your pleasure.
Love, Nancy
They look more and more like me every year. All the kids have perfect teeth. none of them have ever had a cavity but all of them had trouble with their eye teeth just like my mother did. Kathy , Patty and Joe had their eye teeth taken care of when young. Shanty had her second teeth taken out in the hospital because they were growing into her nose and she kept her baby teeth until last year. They finally died so she had them removed and had implants put in. They look so nice. They plan to make the get together an annual trip and next year Shanti and Patty will bring their granddaughters with them as they are the same age and love to get together.
