Here are the first 16 pints of spaghetti sauce. We got 28 pints in all plus 4 pints of tomato juice. That was very good, some of the reason was because they were Roma tomatoes which are meatier than table tomatoes and some was because they were 25 pound boxes not 20 pounds as we used to get at Dunlap. That may have been why it took us so long to do them all. However we did get a late start today also. In TN we always started at 6 am today we didn’t get started until almost 10 am. Next week we will get one box and not start the canning until the next morning. See we are not to old to learn!!
This is the last load on processing now. The door is open to the garage and that pile of towels is all that is left of the mess to clean up tomorrow However, Norman is still in the kitchen timing the canner and putting the final touches on the cleanup.
He washed but I did stay and wipe before my back finally broke. It is so good to just sit down and rest my back. Have a good night!
