Ready to Head Home

Time is moving fast now.  Yesterday was Becca and Regina’s Birthday so after work when Becca came over to get the usual Tuesday vegetables we greeted them with a birthday cake and ice cream.  I made them matching dresses so they put them on and I got some pictures of their new matching outfits.Photo on 3-3-15 at 4.00 PM

Didn’t they come out cute? Photo on 3-3-15 at 4.01 PM

We had a nice party.  Chris got home early so he came to our mini party also.  The cake was a big hit!

Nancy asked for a picture of Nirinjan, Prem Godbin’s mother.  I got a better picture on Norman’s camera but I don’t know how to get it onto my Mac until we take the chip into Walmart’s and get it onto a CD.  For now you will have to just try and see her on these two picots. Photo on 2-26-15 at 6.34 PM

This is not a good picture of her.  She is really a much prettier girl with her eyes open.  She was very busy with the two girls and cooking for everyone so I never got her to stop and pose for me.  She is an unbelievable mother- so great!! We had such a good time.Photo on 2-26-15 at 6.34 PM #2

You can see what a small place we have here but we had n trouble visiting with everyone.

Today I got a new picture of our next great grand daughter.10553620_10152806260670891_849219223770035535_n

She is due to arrive next month I believe.  I hope someday to get to meet her and her brother but it is hard where we don’t travel any more.  I will be happy if she is just born healthy and everyone enjoys her.  One last picture I can’t resist. 10614217_858599044181149_5204252095027112665_n

This is from four years ago, This is Regina’s brother’s James and Colby .  And here they are today 1010151_854080261299694_2681404445637831508_n

Isn’t life wonderful!! I am going to make sure I stay around for many more years just to see what happens next!!  Have a great day and enjoy every minute of it.

About Carol (Ouma) Petts

I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.

Thanks Carol!!! Love the pictures. I find it amazing that you can send them. I don’t even own a camera any more. I have heard of the skyp ( how to even spell it ?), but never seen it. Good for you! The matching dresses look great. Better bring a winter coat up to the farm. It is still bitter cold up here and snow everywhere head high. Have a safe trip and happy landing!
    Love, Nancy

    • I tried “skyp” when I first got my MAC, Shanti gave it to me for Christmas last year but I never could make it work so I use face time and can only take to those that have an Apple instrument, Shanti of course has a MAC so I can call her in New Mexico and see her to talk to any time I want and Shirley has a apple phone so we talk all the time. It is so nice to see the person as you talk to them. Do you by any means have an Apple phone? If so give me the number and I’ll call you on face time, it rings on you regular phone. We are now on our way home. We left Port St Lucy at 8:12 this morning and have just stopped at Bryon, GA for the night. It is nice when they have free Wifi to use and I get all my email and computer work done before bed. I know what you mean by the cold!! It is much colder here and I am sure it is even colder in Spencer but the forecast is for above freezing temperatures all next week so we can get the gardens into shape for planting and we are both very ready to get working on them. We had a long rest since Nov. and can’t wait to get back to work. I need to lose a little weight that I added the last two weeks. I did so good over the holidays but let loose the last couple weeks and with no exercise the weight went up. Now I will work hard at getting back down as that is high enough. Also am look forward to seeing Joe and his family. They will be up to see us next week. Hope you snow melts and spring sets in soon. Take Care- Love you Carol
