Spring is trying to come. We get one nice day and a new front comes through but each front is not quite as cold and the last so the gardens like it. Each front brings some rain with it. Everything is greening up, not the trees yet but you can see the buds. The Red Bud is about ready to bloom, the crab apple tree is all budded and the pears are getting ready to bloom. Looks like we will have a nice crop of pears this year. Also looks like the blueberries made it and will be a good crop. The raspberries are just starting to leaf out. Joe has a contract on a house in Whitwell, TN, only about and hour and a half from here. There is over an acre of land with it so looks like there will be plenty of room for berries there. Great house warming gift, maybe he will let me plant some blue berry brushes for him. I can also start some raspberry bushes for him, that will give Luke some chores to do to care for those. Today we will finish weeding the main garden. Then wait until it is time to put in the tomatoes in May. We also have to weed and cultivate the smaller gardens and get them ready for the squash, melons, cucumber, and other vines. We like to give them plenty of room to spread out. Time to get to work. Have a great day.
