I woke to a light dusting of snow this morning. Temperature was 31 degrees so not too bad. It is still cloudy but they say the snowing is done for today, more coming tomorrow. Yesterday we both got out and did some cleaning up. Norman took the chain saw and cleaned up all the fallen branches beside and in the road coming down to the house. Then he blew leaves out from infront of the flower boxes and beside the drive. I cut out all the old mums, pulled any weeds in the flower boxes and got those all cleaned out and looking nice. The mums are starting to grow and if we ever get some sun and nice weather they will turn the front boxes all green and nice looking. I got a couple cabinets emptied, washed and back to full use. I took all the spices I had and put them down stairs. I had a draw and one cabinet full of spices, so many I could never find the one I wanted and I don’t bake up here anyways so it was a waste of what little room I had. I saved just the spices I use to cook dinners with for up here. Today, if it warms up a little I will go down and weed the hosta bed. I want to get that done before the hostas start to grow otherwise I never get all the violets and weeds out of there and it remains a mess all summer. Norman blew out the leaves in the side garden yesterday and my hellabor is really pretty, in almost full bloom. I want to get that bed weeded tomorrow before the bleeding heart starts up. Have a good day.
