A nice sunny day but cold. Worked inside again today. Scanned pictures to put on my family tree. When I got some sweet potatoes for dinner I found they were not keeping well so we canned 7 pints of the best potatoes that were keeping well and peeled about a dozen and baked to freeze. Had some for dinner baked also and they were very good. Glad I noticed them going before we lost them. John said they would keep all winter but I don’t think they were dried correctly or they would not have started to go so soon. Norman pulled the last two rows of tomatoes and brought me the last of the green ones. Tomorrow I will fry a few that have started to ripen just a little and then turn the last of the green ones into green tomato relish. That will end the work with the tomatoes. Norman still wants to put some manure on the garden where they were and till that to let it rest for the winter. The onions and garlic still have not come. Gurney’s keep saying they will be here but I wish they would hurry up so we don’t have that job to do the last few days when we will be so busy getting ready to leave. Have a great day.
