July 1, 1907  Mon.    Cloudy  till Noon  then Hot   sun come hot then it looks like showers   M A & D W went to the Lodge IOOF   got in wood  PM

July 2  Tues.  Cloudy  Finished geting in wood for M A   fixed road to shed for waggons

July 3  Wed.  Plesant & cool   M A  Dorithe & Web went down to C M Carletons A M   We all went up to Marlins Eve Socible gethering    good time

July 4   Thurs.  Plesant   M A went with the Dr Lawrence to see his colt at Clough  Pasture   We got in the Hay around the House

July 5  Fri.  Plesant   Went down on the Meadow then up to D B Halls    Moses Mowed all of his grass    I had dinner with D H Hall

July 6  Sat.  Cloudy   I went up to D B Halls   helped get in load Hay   Moses went off with Anna Filley     back at Noon then he got in hay on Damons

July 7  Sun.  Plesant   We went to Church    Moses  D W  went up to the Cemetery    looked it all over

July 8   Mon.  Cloudy  not feeling very good to day  Dizy spells    beter to Night   went to the Lodge IOOF   Moses B Meader Paid my dues for one year to Apr 1-1908    good boy

July 9  Tues.  Cloudy  Big shower at noon     Stoped the electric lights all in darkness to Night   I went over to see Cyntha    had supper with em   Kate is sick to night

July 10   Wed.  Cloudy   I went up to Mr Hubert Eastmans   had dinner with them    John Merrill had sup   good times at both places

July 11  Thurs.  Cloudy  Rained in the afternoon    I killed Bugs fore noon   went down to Albert Kimballs P M   good time

July 12   Fri.  Rainey   Rained all Night    I went with Moses    hitched up his little colt with old Rose   drove off Nice

July 13   Sat.   Plesant   Went down on the Meadow with Moses   I tedded Hay the fore noon     went to the Grange at Night

July 14   Sun.  Plesant   Moses   my self   went up to the Center Cemetry    Kate went down to see C M Carleton   he is bad off

July 15   Mon.  Plesant  good Hay day    Moses A mowed the Liggy Piece and got it in       I went with George smith up to Fred Clark

July 16  Cloudy    went up to Marlins with Kate   she went up to see Mina   She is sick   I stayed all day   see the Rake Loader and fork work

July 17   Wed.  Hot  Moses got the Hay on David Bliffin Place   Carter and his man helped   I done a little

July 18  Thurs.  Hot   Moses took cows up to back Pasture    I went with him to Boy Stelver   I come back with him   he went on to the Meadow

July 19  Fri.  Hot   Moses & my self went on to the Meadow to work for Carter Haying   done good days work  7 loads

July 20   Sat.  Hot  Went down on the meadow morning   back at noon   Showers at Night   House & Barn burn at Newbury by Lightning

July 21  Sun.  Plesant   Moses  Kate  Dorthy & my self D W   went to the Ganny Clark Place   had lunch   then up to the Litchfield Place  then back home   good time

July 22  Mon. Cloudy  went up to Woodsville and to Wells River   Moses went to the Meadow to work   Rained at Night   big rain

July 23  Tues.  Cloudy   went up M B  Young   Ella Manson come out to get her Horse shod and took me out to Miltons

July 24  Wed.  cloudy   Milton raked up his Hay back of Barn and cocked it up   got in one load   Molton went to North Haverhill    Iron for tidobes

July 25  Thurs.  Plesant   Milton got in 7 loads Hay   Mowed 6 acres grass   Manson helped him   I done a little

July 26  Fri.   cloudy  no hay day  not much done to day

July 27   Cloudy  Milton got in 8 loads Hay   we opened & turned it out and never see the sun all day

July 28   Sun.   Plesant   we all went to church but Molton he went out to Earls   we went to Prayer meeting in the Eve

July 29  Mon.  Plesant  got in 4 loads Hay   mowed it this morning    that finished all but one Piece at Home  Clark to cut yet

July 30  Tues.   Cloudy  turned up some Hay for Manson  it rained on it at noon and then it lays   Milton commenced boring his water logs to day   ( At this time in history they were still using wooden water pipes.  Even large cities used wooden water pipes in the late 1800’s)

July 31  Wed.  Plesant   Morris & Ruth took me over to Bag St Clair in the morning

We went to Spencer to day.  Went to the store and got some hamburg, bananas and grapes , then went to the package store and got some wine and some gin to put on the raisens for breakfast.   I picked the peppers and when we got home from town I stuffed the peppers and froze them.  Got 8 meals into the freezer.  After dinner I made two loaves of banana bread, one for the freezer and one for us to eat now.  The weather is perfect for working out side so tomorrow we will go back to weeding and cleaning up the lower garden.  I need to pick some Bok Choy and some green tomatoes for dinner.   Have a great day.

I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.
