2012- Yesterday we picked and canned 7 quarts of green beans. We also got the burn barrels going first thing in the morning and kept them burning all day. We got a lot of the brush burned and some of the downed trees that Norman cut this spring. Everyone in TN got some of the rain from Isaac but none here until today. Norman did his usual Sunday chores and I wrote my letters, then Norman decided to get the burn barrels going again and sure enough we got the rain. I know we need the rain more than the burning so we won’t complain. Today I want to make an apple pie and some apple jelly. Have a great day.
