Web had a hard time with this backruptcy. He had been the one to help others in trouble for more than 50 years and now he could not help his own family. He had lost everything except his stock in the creamery and his good name in the town. Life was beating him down, the only thing he had left to cling to was his work as a farmer, that he understood. ***********
Today Norman and I went to the farmer’s market and got about 100 pounds of tomatoes and 55 cucumbers. As soon as we got home we started canning and got two of the four boxes prepared and canned. We got 17 quarts of Marinara Sauce canned and 5 quarts of tomato juice. Tomorrow we will finish the other two boxes and some of our own that we picked to day and will get more tomorrow. Monday we will make bread and butter pickles with the cucumbers we got today. Not much time for anything else. Have a great day.
Good Morning friends. Sounds like you have been very busy. Keeps you out of trouble, huh? It is evident that you are enjoying your work. Too bad more people couldn’t be like you folks. It would be a better world. Take time to rest. Have a good day. The sun is shining bright here today. Bye, Bye. ♥♥
Hi folks, we have this one more day of canning tomatoes and then we will take it a bit easier. We started at 6 this morning and have just now taken off the last canner load and are waiting for it to cool so we can open the pressure canner. We got 19 quarts of marinara sauce and 7 quarts of tomato juice done today. The sun is shining here also and it is nice and cool so will get out side soon. I am so glad to hear from you and know you are both well. Keep well and have a great day, Carol
