June 1 Wed. Cold & fair Sit around all day wnr over to Helens & Emmas.
June 2 Thurs. Fair & warm Didn’t do much. dressed Helen hand a bad burn
June 3. Fri Thunder shower Did house work and sit around S.P. planted beans up to Curts
June 4. Sat. Fair Did house work S.P. went to Keene west down to Esses.
June 5 Sun. Fair Went to church. No more church until Sept.
June 6 Mon. Fair Did a big wash & rode over to Dublin with Gertie
June 7 Tues. Fair & cold Starting Angie room to pap[er some tired tonight
June 8 Wed. Fair & cold a frost Worked at Angie room will finish tomorrow. Guy & Helen here a minute
June 9. Thurs. Cold & fair Finished Angie room all but curtains
June 10 Fri. Cold Did house work & went up to Helen K. a minute
June 11 Sat. Fair & warm Did house work & went to libary
June 12 Sun. Fair & warm Went up to Angie with Guy. S.P. went We had a picnic lunch.
June 13 Mon. Fair Did house work & cut curtains
June 14 Tues. Rain Washed but didn’t put them out. Finished curtains went to Mrs. L. a few minutes
June 15. Wed. Fair & hot Put clothes out & went down to Mrs. K with rent
June 16. Thurs. Fair with rain at night Did house work and went to hall in evening to graduation
June 17 Fri. Fair did house work and mended
June 18 Sat Fair Did house work and went to Libary
June 19 Sun. Fair Did not do much alone all day.
June 20 Mon. Fair Did house work & went up to see the peas at Curts
June 21 Tues. Fair Did house work & sewed a little
June 22 Wed. Fair Did my washing cleaned silver and went over to Helens in evening
June 23 Thurs. Fair & cool Did house work & went to Keene for a hair cut went with Gertie
June 24 Fri. Cold & Fair Did house work Helen over a few minutes S.P. planted potatoes today
June 25 Sat. Cold & cloudy did house work. Started a coal fire today.
June 26 Sun. Fair Did house work Lem Mannie Adrian and three children were here for the day.
June 27 Mon. Rain Helped cleaned Mrs John Tutles cottage paid me $2.00
June 28 Tues. Fair Washed & ironed went over to Helens a minute to see the baby
June 29 Wed. Fair Went to Swanzy to Applins with S.P. walked from South Keene around had a good time
June 30 Thurs. Fair Did house work & went over to Helens a few minutes Phylis got a sliver in her foot

About Carol (Ouma) Petts

I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.
