This has been a long busy day getting ready for the family to arrive tomorrow. We finished cleaning the house and I had to write my usual weekly letters to Carl and Mary Lou. I always print off my blog for Carl because he doesn’t have a computer and when I tried to print the last one my ink went dry. Norman tried to put in a new cartridge and it would not work so he tried the new one and that one also would not work so we finally had to order new ones and got them from Dell this time. Ink is so darn expensive we had tried cut rate ones and find even if they are half the price they aren’t cheaper if every other one doesn’t work. Then we picked the vegetables for dinner and we canned zuchinni, 5 quarts canned and two quarts frozen. I wanted to try both and see which we like the best this winter. Then I baked brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Ouma has to have cookies on hand when the grand kids come for a visit. Tomorrow daughter Patty will be here with her daughter, Becca and her husband Chris and their three children. We can’t wait to see the twins. It has been four months since we have seen them and they change so much at this age. I hope they remember us a little!! Tomorrow I want to make a lemon pie and a blueberry cheese cake then I won’t have to bake any more deserts, just bread and meals. Anyways that is my excuse for not getting June done on my blog today. I have no idea if I will be able to get any blogging done this week since the family will be staying here until Friday and this is a small house. My computer is in the loft which is the spare bedroom, and the screened porch acts as the other guest room with air mattresses. It is really plenty big enough for all but not much else to do here but visit with each other and that does not include going off by myself to write on the computer. So you may have to wait until next week end to hear how the week goes. Oh, the peaches are just about ready to pick. We had two today and they were very good. I do want to wait until Patty gets here so she can pick her own off the tree. She loves peaches and has never had them fresh from the tree . She can also help me can some. Have a great night, I’ll talk to you when I can.

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEK. DAUGHTERS ARE SO SPECIAL
Thank you Shirley. I know we will have a great time. The rain has revitalized the gardens so they will have some nice vegetables and the peaches are ready for them so that will keep them busy and happy. Joe called to say the boys will not be coming over the next week. We will miss having them but I guess it is for the best. We will be tired after Patty’s visit and then to have the boys for two weeks would have been very tiring. Old “Goody Two Shoes” is taking the disappointment in stride as you can see. We won’t get to see Joe and Holly this summer at all and we sure will miss seeing Luke but that is the way it goes when you get to this age. Just think positive and be so glad that Patty and Becca are on their way. Love you Carol
