This has been a hard frustating day.  I had it all planned out but woke early only to find 17 charges made to my credit on Paypal.  How they got my information to charge them I don’t know but we spent all morning fixing it.  First I notified Pay Pal that those were not my charges, they were made at 3 a.m. this morning and all were to transfer funds to some one else.  Then I had to change my pass word and security questins to Pay Pal.  Then we called the bank to stop any payments made to Pay Pal since it is backed up by both the bank and a credit card.  then we called the credit card to stop payments there.  One had already been charged and it was pending so the card company refused the charged since it was not made by us.  Then they put a stop on that card and are sending us another card.  We have one other card so we had to think who would be trying to collect from us and I remembered Littleton Grist Mill had an order that would be sent out today so called them with the new number.  They were happy I called as they were just ready to charge the ordered and send it out.  Then I got a notice from Amazon.com that the swimming diapers I ordered for Becca were in and they would be sending those out today so I had to get on the line and change the credit card number for them.  Now each place I order from I will have to change the default card I use.  Boy, what a hassel.  Pay Pal is supposed to investigate the fraud and get back to me but no word yet.  I guess I will just go over and remove any back up accounts I have with them and later when I want to use them I will send the a check to have in the account.  I don’t use Pay Pal very often but I sure do use the internet alot for buying things.  I guess the only thing I really need Pay Pal for is when I  get things on ebay and if I can’t get this worked out I will stop buying on ebay.  The easiest way I know of to stop this happening again.   We had to water again today.  Then I dug a few potatoes which were very good, I picked a few peas just to try them and they are ready so tomorrow I will have a whole meal of them.   I took some spinach for Norman and checked on my garlic that I am drying.  It is almost ready to store, it must be dry before trying to store it or it will mold instead of keeping.   Yesterday Norman had his eye shot again.  It went very well this time.  The new medicine that they use seems to work best as it does not hurt the eye and he can see well within a few minutes.  Now we will not have to go every month, we will have 8 weeks between shots which is great for now.  I would love to see it streached out to 12 weeks but the research says no.  We’ll see!   The kolrobi is up and today Norman planted some brussel sprout.  I had hoped to get some plants but could not find any so we put in seeds and now have enough to put in every couple weeks so we will have some to harvest in Nov.  I hope they do well as we both love brussel sprouts.  Have a great day.

About Carol (Ouma) Petts

I am a retired teacher. I have taught all levels from kindergarten through college and have been retired now for over 20 years. The last ten years we have lived on a farm and lived off the land, growing our own food and canning for our extended family. Now we have sold the farm and are moving to Florida to truly retire. I guess I have always had a short attention span as this is our 11th move. We have moved from a small farm in New Hampshire, to more city type living, small business adventures, focusing more on traveling, Florida living, Georgia, and Tennessee farming and now back to Florida. My blog is a way to keep my children up to date on what I am doing and letting them know I am still alive and well. My children are spread across the country from New England to Florida, Nova Scotia to New Mexico and CA and several places between, They let me know what they are up to by commenting on my blog but they are so busy with their own lives most times I have to assume " no news is good news". Now I are starting on a new adventure so will try to give daily updates until we get settled into a routine. Then I know even if I am getting older and should settle down I will start looking for some new and exciting adventure to start. Welcome aboard. Norman died Oct 30, 2017 so I am continuing the journey alone with the aid of my children, grand children and great grand children. At present I am living with my daughter and we are 7 in one house and cover four generations. We range in age from 7 to 85 and are finding common ground, we are living proof that multi generations can live and function in a three bedroom house if they really want to. Soon my grandson will have his house built next door so we all will have a room of their own except for the seven year old twins who by choice will share a room.

Sorry to hear that someone is using your name to buy things. There are too many crooks out there. Hope you can get it all fixed. Happy Memorial Day ! ♥♥

    • Thanks Joyce, I think we have a handle on it now. They can’t charge us for any of their purchases now and we have Pay Pal on their trail. Hope Pay Pal catches them so they can’t do that to anyone else. Happy Memorial Day to you too. Hope it isn’t as hot there as it is here.
