Notice Rebecca Lange: We just picked two quarts of raspberries and made a raspberry cordail. We have it in a gallon jar now and have to leave it alone for 5 months to age properly so it will be ready for Thanksgiving. We will bring the gallon to your house so everyone can have some. It is so good, even now!! We will make another one Saturday for Christmas and then make one with no alchol for the kids. Then any raspberries that are left I’ll make into jelly. As you can see we have more raspberries than last year and last year we had a bumper crop. Dad had to go into the middle to pick today, he put on his big rain jacket with the hood and long pants otherwise he could never have gotten into the middle it is so full. This year when I prune I will cut out evern more than I did last year but they are such good growers and so determined I don’t know if even that will make any difference. I wish the blueberries could grown that well but they are doing much better this year than last so maybe in a couple years they too will produce as well now that we know what to feed them. The raspberries loved the horse manure but the blue berries needed the 90% sulphur. I also picked green beans and zuchinni and will can a few jars of those right after dinner.

I think you grew those raspberries just for me :-), and they wanted to grow so well because they thought we were coming up (blame the twins). I don’t see any reason we can’t go up next summer though, all 5 of us. The cordail sounds good just reading about it, and perfect timeing too. The twins will be long out by then. Speaking of which, more ultrasound pics to come. I’ll be getting more today (6/17), so I should send them out by next week.
Love you and can’t wait to have you back.
You are right, we did grow them with you in mind and will be so glad to have you here to pick and eat right off the bush. Mark your calendar so you can plan your vacation for the correct time of year. They only last about a week before they are all ripe and need picking. The blueberries are just starting and Gina would love picking and eating those I bet. We could have a great time right here but day trips to places around here could be worked in also. Can’t wait to come down but for now I look forward to the new pictures. Love you Ouma
